In your search for healthy nutrition for your family you will come across many new foods, some of which you may not have heard of before.

Daily Dose
Dates
Dates provide another excellent substitute for sugar and are rich in iron. The best way of using dates is to buy them pitted (without stones) and make a purée. This can be stored in an airtight jar for a couple of weeks in the fridge and used in biscuits or cakes or spread thinly on rice cakes or in sandwiches. Suitable from six months.
