Superfood of the day
In your search for healthy nutrition for your family you will come across many new foods, some of which you may not have heard of before.
Some of these foods are available from supermarkets, some from healthfood shops and some from specialist suppliers.
Here is a superfood suggestion from my A - Z list

Daily Dose
Oils
These should be unrefined and cold-pressed to ensure a high-quality oil. Extra-virgin olive oil is my favourite for the store cupboard. It is a monounsaturated oil which remains stable at high temperatures and is therefore a good oil to choose for sautéeing or stir-frying as well as using in dressings. Extra-virgin olive oil is dark green and comes from the first pressing of the olives with no additives. You can use cold-pressed, unrefined sunflower, safflower and walnut oil for baking and dressings but do not use these polyunsaturates for high-temperature cooking. At high temperatures these oils do not remain stable and will create free radicals which can damage your child's health. Suitable from six months.
